Welcome to Alcoholics Anonymous District 5

ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS is a
fellowship of men and women who
share their experience, strength and hope with one another that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues

or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions.

AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes.

Our primary purpose is to stay sober and to help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

I am responsible...

when anyone, anywhere reaches out for help,

I want the hand of AA always to be there.  And for that,

I am responsible.

District 5 serves a seven county  area of West-Central Alabama. These are: Fayette, Lamar, Marion, Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Walker, and Winston counties. There are district meetings held at participating groups on the second Sunday of  each month at 2pm. We welcome input from any AA member in our district who would like to get involved. If you would like further information about this meeting or others near you, please check the schedule or e-mail us. We want to hear from you.
